What is Alberta Tech Pathway?
Under the Alberta Advantage Immigration Program (AAIP), the Canadian province of Alberta has announced an immigration gateway for skilled and trained IT professionals that will keep their applications on fast track mode.
Applicants having active Express Entry profile can easily obtain provincial nomination after fulfilling all eligibility criteria of the Alberta Accelerated Tech Pathway, including securing a valid job offer letter or job offer from any organisation or employer from IT industry based in Alberta. A valid job offer letter or job offer will enhance chances of receiving nomination by eligible applicants.
Once nominated, the selected applicants will automatically gain additional 600 CRS points in addition to their current score in Express Entry pool, hence will make the process of getting Invitation To Apply (ITA) easier for them. Such applicants will receive ITA in next draw of Express Entry and can gain Permanent Residence status of Canada.
If applicants fulfil all eligibility criteria of Alberta Accelerated Tech Pathway, then the processing of applications will be on fast track mode in Express Entry system.

➡ Applicants must select Alberta as their first choice in Express Entry program
➡ The profile of applicants must be valid for next three months in Express Entry pool
➡ They must have at least 300 CRS points in the Express Entry pool
➡ They must have relevant work experience in an in-demand occupation that will also help them to gain a job offer letter or job offer (from Alberta based organisation or employer) that can make their immigration journey easy
➡ Also, international students who graduated from a recognised Canadian post-secondary institution in Alberta can gain extra CRS points
➡ Applicants having a parent, child, siblings or brother/sister, who is a permanent resident in Alberta, or a Canadian citizen living in Alberta, also have good chances to improve their CRS score.
